Carbon Steel Round Bar – C15
Carbon Steel Round Bar is plain steel with a nominal 0.15% carbon content. It is low strength steel but it may be quenched and tempered for increased strength. The low carbon steels, such as C15 are used for applications such as cold headed fasteners and bolts.
Carbon Steel Round Bar – C20
Carbon Steel round bar C20 is an unalloyed low carbon mild steel grade supplied as a hot rolled or bright drawn finish bar. As a low carbon grade, it provides low strength with good machinability and is suitable for welding. Lightly stressed in the form of bolts, fixings, shafts, spacers, hubs, and bushings. Bracketry, linkages, and base plates would be fine to produce using carbon steel EN3.

Carbon Steel Round Bar – C40
It is a medium Carbon Steel which is similar to low carbon steel except that the carbon ranges from 0.30 to 0.60% & the manganese from 0.50 to 1.65%. Increasing the carbon content is approximately 0.5% with an accompanying increase in manganese allows medium carbon steel to be used in the quenched & tempered conditions.
Carbon Steel Round Bar – C45
C45 is a medium carbon steel grade offering reasonable tensile strength. Supplied in the cold drawn or hot rolled condition, tensile properties can vary but are approximately between 500-800 N/mm². This grade can be flame or induction hardened to produce a good surface hardness with moderate wear resistance. C45 is widely used for components that require better properties than mild steel but does not justify the costs of alloy steel.
Carbon Steel Round Bar – C50
C50 is medium carbon steel is used when greater strength and hardness is desired than in the as-rolled condition. C50 steel plate, EN 10083 C50 steel plate, under EN 10083 standard, we can regard C50 steel plate as high carbon steel. C50 steel plate is one mainly of high carbon steel, EN 10083 C50 steel plate is one of the higher carbon content (0.47-0.55) steels. It is equal to DIN C50, JUS C.16301, and NF AF70C55. C50 high carbon steel has good grain and Mechanical properties. Its yield strength is between 320-610 MPa, C50 tensile strength is from290MPa to 590MPa.
Carbon Steel Round Bar – C55
C55 is medium carbon steel is used when greater strength and hardness is desired than Si in the as-rolled condition. Extreme size accuracy, straightness, and concentricity combine to minimize wear in high-speed applications. Turned, ground, and polished.
Carbon Steel Round Bar – C60
C60 steel is one of the higher carbon content (0.60%) steel. It is more difficult to fabricate than the lower carbon grades. Shafts, bushings, connecting rods, Mechanical engineering components, agricultural hand tools, large forgings, springs, cold-rolled strips.
Carbon Steel Round Bar – CK15
CK15 is plain carbon steel with a nominal 0.15% carbon content. It is relatively low strength steel but it may be quenched and tempered for increased strength.
Carbon Steel Round Bar – Ck20
CK20 is a Fe-Cr-Ni alloy containing slightly more chromium and considerably more nickel than the CH-20 grade. The alloy is used provides good resistance to dilute sulfuric acid and resists many co rodents more effectively Than CF-8 type. The alloy is fully austenitic and contains chromium carbides throughout the matrix, which are put into solution by High-temperature solution anneal, which also improves ductility and strength. The alloy should be solution Annealed to maximize corrosion resistance and after welding to prevent sensitization of the HAZ.
Carbon Steel Round Bar – Ck30
This is a higher carbon (0.30%) manganese steel in the plain carbon steel alloy family. It provides greater strength than the lower carbon grades while still retaining reasonable ductility.
Carbon Steel Round Bar – Ck35
CK35 steel has a higher (0.35%) carbon content for greater strength than the lower carbon alloys. It can be hardenable by heat treatment, quench, and tempering to develop 150 to 250 KSI tensile strength.
Carbon Steel Round Bar – Ck40
CK40 steel has a higher (0.40%) carbon content for greater strength than the lower carbon alloys. It can be hardenable by heat treatment, quench, and tempering to develop 150 to 250 KSI tensile strength.
Carbon Steel Round Bar – Ck45

Carbon Steel Round Bar – SAE/AISI 1010
SAE-AISI 1010 carbon steel is plain carbon steel with 0.10% carbon content. This steel has relatively low strength but it can be quenched and tempered to increase strength.
Carbon Steel Round Bar – SAE/AISI 1018
AISI 1018 mild/low carbon steel has excellent weldability and produces a uniform and harder case and it is considered as the best steel for carburized parts. AISI 1018 mild/low carbon steel offers a good balance of toughness, strength, and ductility. Provided with higher mechanical properties, AISI 1018 hot rolled steel also includes improved machining characteristics and Brinell hardness.

Specific manufacturing controls are used for surface preparation, chemical composition, rolling and heating processes. All these processes develop a supreme quality product that is suited to fabrication processes such as welding, forging, drilling, machining, cold drawing, and heat treating.
Carbon Steel SAE/AISI 1020
AISI 1020 is a low hardenability and low tensile carbon steel with Brinell hardness of 119 – 235 and tensile strength of 410-790 MPa. It has high machinability, high strength, high ductility, and good weldability. It is normally used in the turned and polished or cold drawn condition. Due to its low carbon content, it is resistant to induction hardening or flame hardening. Due to a lack of alloying elements, it will not respond to nitriding. However, carburization is possible in order to obtain case hardness more than Rc65 for smaller sections that reduce with an increase in section size. Core strength will remain as it has been supplied for all the sections. Alternatively, carbon nitriding can be performed, offering certain benefits over standard carburizing.
Carbon Steel SAE/AISI 1035
1035 round bar and wire rod may be used for cold heading/working into fasteners such as screws, bolts, and nuts, machined into cold finished components, and/or hot or cold forged into a variety of parts. Depending on the application, it may be rolled into a wide range of diameters. By cold drawing 1035 round bar, it will increase the mechanical properties, improve the size tolerance and enhance the surface. In these conditions, 1035 steel bars may be used in a variety of tools, chain pins, sealing rings, nails, couplings, levers, studs, gears, bolts, rods, pins as well other numerous other types of parts.
Carbon Steel SAE/AISI 1040
AISI 1040 carbon steel has high carbon content & can be hardened by heat treatment followed by quenching and tempering to achieve 150 to 250 KSI tensile strength.
Carbon Steel SAE/AISI 1045
AISI 1045 steel is medium tensile steel supplied in the black hot rolled or normalized condition. It has a tensile strength of 570 – 700 MPa and Brinell hardness ranging between 170 and 210.AISI 1045 steel is characterized by good weldability, good machinability, and high strength and impact properties in either the normalized or hot rolled condition.AISI 1045 steel has a low through-hardening capability with only sections of size around 60 mm being recommended as suitable for tempering and through-hardening. However, it can be efficiently flame or induction hardened in the normalized or hot rolled condition to obtain surface hardness in the range of Rc 54 – Rc 60 based on factors such as section size, type of set up, quenching medium used, etc.
Carbon Steel EN3B
EN3B, also known as 070m20, available in rounds, flats, squares & hexagons. En3b is a mild steel suitable for welding and general machining. AISI 1020. The term mild steel applies to all low carbon steel that does not contain any alloying elements in its makeup and has a carbon content that does not exceed 0.25%. The term “mild” is used to cover a wide range of specifications and forms for a variety of steel.
Carbon Steel EN6
Medium strength steel. Used to make, shafts, racks, pinions, studs, bolts, nuts, rollers, etc. Supplied as square bar, or round bar, or flat. Carbon steels have carbon as the key alloying element in their composition. They also contain up to 0.4% silicon and 1.2% manganese. In addition, the residual elements such as copper, molybdenum, aluminum, chromium, and nickel are present in these steels.
Carbon Steel EN8
EN8 also know as 080M40. Unalloyed medium carbon steel. EN8 is medium strength steel, good tensile strength. Suitable for shafts stressed pins, studs, keys, etc. AISI 1040.Available as normalized or rolled. EN8 is supplied round drawn/turned, round hot rolled, hexagon, square, flats, and plate.EN8 is usually supplied untreated but can be supplied to order in the normalized or finally heat treated (quenched and tempered to ”Q” or “R” properties for limiting ruling sections up to 63mm), which is adequate for a wide range of applications. Carbon Steel EN8D
EN8D is carbon steel, detailed in British Standard BS970.080A42 is a medium carbon and medium tensile steel used mainly for axles, spindles, studs, automotive, and general engineering components. Suitable for heat treatment where extra strength is required. It is medium-high carbon steel that can be strengthened by heat-treating after forming. Machinability and weldability are fair. Typical uses include machine, plow and carriage bolts, cylinder head studs, machine parts, etc. It is also used for U bolts, concrete re-enforcing rods, forgings, and non-critical springs.
Carbon Steel EN9
EN9, also known as 070m55, available in diameters, flats, squares, and plates with a carbon content of 0.50/0.60 this is medium carbon steel that can develop a tensile strength of 700N/mm 45tsi. In the normalized condition, EN9 can be used for gears, sprockets, and cams.EN9 is a medium carbon steel grade commonly supplied in the as-rolled condition. It can be flame or induction hardened to produce a high surface hardness with excellent wear resistance for a carbon steel grade.
Carbon Steel EN32B
EN32 is a carbon case hardening steel. Components when carburized have a core strength range of 430-490 N/mm2, with a hard-wearing surface. It is a popular case hardening steel grade for general engineering, readily machinable and weldable in its supply condition. EN32 is low tensile steel suited for lightly stressed components. Carbon spring steel strip, plate, and sheet are supplied in the hardened and tempered, and annealed condition. Stainless spring steel is available as a strip. Spring steel strip is commonly supplied in coil cut to your requirements.
Carbon Steel EN43B
Carbon spring steel is supplied in round bar, hexagon, flat, and also as spring steel plate and sheet. The plate can be flame cut to your requirements with normalizing recommended for this spring steel grade. The bar can be cut to your required lengths. Spring steel plate and sheet can be flame cut or guillotine cut to your requirements. Spring steel strip is available in coil, slit and cut to length. Spring steel, as its name suggests, is most commonly used in the manufacture of springs. When hardened and tempered (as supplied, or heat-treated by the customer) it offers excellent spring characteristics.
Carbon Steel 15C8
The term mild steel applies to all low carbon steel that does not contain any alloying elements in its makeup and has a carbon content that does not exceed 0.25%. The term “mild” is used to cover a wide range of specifications and forms for a variety of steel. Mild steel is used in mechanical engineering applications for parts that will not be subject to high stress. When in its bright cold drawn condition the steel is able to endure higher levels of stress, particularly on smaller diameters.
Carbon Steel 20C8
This steel is an unalloyed low carbon grade. Components when carburized have a core strength range of 430-490N/mm² with the hard wear-resistant surface case. It is a popular case hardening steel grade for general engineering, readily machinable and weldable in its supply condition. EN32 is low tensile steel suited for lightly stressed components.
Carbon Steel 30C8
30C8 in its heat-treated forms possesses good homogenous metallurgical structures, giving consistent machining properties. Good heat treatment results on sections larger than 63mm may still be achievable, but it should be noted that a fall-off in mechanical properties would be apparent approaching the center of the bar. It is therefore recommended that larger sizes of 30C8 are supplied in the untreated condition and that any heat treatment is carried out after initial stock removal. This should achieve better mechanical properties towards the core.
Carbon Steel 35C8
Carbon steels contain carbon as the main alloying element. They are designated by AISI four-digit numbers and contain 0.4% of silicon and 1.2% of manganese. Molybdenum, chromium, nickel, copper, and aluminum are present in small quantities. Impurities such as sulfur and phosphorous are also found in these steels.

Carbon Steel ASTMA36
ASTM A36 is the most commonly used mild and hot-rolled steel. It has excellent welding properties and is suitable for grinding, punching and tapping, drilling, and machining processes. The yield strength of ASTM A36 is less than that of cold roll C1018, thus enabling ASTM A36 to bend more readily than C1018. Normally, larger diameters in ASTM A36 are not produced since C1018 hot roll rounds are used.
